The La Union Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LUMPC) held a memorable Christmas party on December 10th at the Sto. Tomas LUMPC Building’s newly opened banquet hall. Nearly 200 guests were in attendance and were greeted by event staff at the registration area with a convenient QR code check-in system. The interior of the banquet hall was beautifully decorated with holiday lights and other festive decorations, setting the mood for the evening’s festivities.
Once inside, guests were treated to a delicious array of holiday treats and drinks. The buffet featured classic holiday dishes, including lechon and various side dishes. There was also a wide selection of desserts, including Christmas cookies, fruit, and chocolates, to satisfy every sweet tooth.
As the night went on, the guests were entertained by a variety of live performances. Each of the branches and satellites of the cooperative put on their own intermission numbers, and we also had a live band playing holiday music and taking song requests from the guests.
Among the notable guests at the party were the LUMPC Board of Directors (BOD) and Committee Members. The BOD Chairperson, Rev. Fr. Alexander Jo B. Peralta, gave a Christmas message, while Directors Rev. Fr. Benjamin V. Manzano Jr. and Rev. Fr. Liberato A. Apusen officiated a mass to bless the banquet hall. Nemesio P. Villamil, a Training and Education Committee member, also gave a welcome address.
The opening ceremonies were led by Josefina G. Andres, a Mediation and Conciliation Committee member, who led the recitation of the Cooperative Pledge, and Edwin T. Fernandez, a Gender and Development Committee member, who led the recitation of the Mission-Vision. Arlie E. Enriquez, an Ethics Committee member, and Ryan F. Gapuz, a Mediation and Conciliation Committee member, served as hosts for the event, adding to its lively atmosphere.
From the LUMPC management, our CEO Marilou B. Guerrero gave an inspirational message and led the officers and managers in a medley of songs, which received applause from the audience.
In addition to the festive entertainment, we also held a gift exchange at the party. Participants received mystery gifts, adding an element of excitement as the names of the recipients were displayed on a screen one at a time. All of the guests also went home with a gift from their LUMPC family, making it a truly memorable evening.
Summing up, the LUMPC Christmas party was a magical night that truly brought the spirit of Christmas to life. We are already looking forward to next year’s party and can’t wait to see what new and exciting things we come up with. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the guests for making the evening so memorable. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
