Making a Difference: Koop Medical Clinic and PAMET Inc. Conduct Successful Medical Mission for Over 100 Patients in La Union

The Koop Medical Clinic (KMC) and the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) Inc. La Union Chapter joined forces to conduct a successful medical mission on December 16 in Doña Toribia, Consolacion, Agoo, La Union. The mission, organized by the La Union Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LUMPC), was led by Marilou B. Guerrero, CEO of LUMPC, and Dr. Allan John V. De Aquino, Medical Director of KMC.

A team of volunteer medical professionals from KMC, including nurses, doctors, and other staff, provided comprehensive care to over 100 patients suffering from chronic illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and other common diseases. The care included physical exams, diagnostic tests, necessary medications, and education and counseling on managing and preventing future complications.

The medical mission, which ran from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., was greatly appreciated by the patients, many of whom had not had access to proper medical care in a long time. The CEO of LUMPC praised the hospital staff and medical team for their hard work and dedication in providing aid to those in need, especially during the busy holiday season. This successful mission demonstrated the power of collaboration and the impact that dedicated medical professionals can have on the lives of those in need.
